Biking Los Gatos Creek Trail

This weekend, I went biking on an easier trail, the Los Gatos Creek Trail, to introduce my friend Jen to bicycling. I lent her my Specialized bike, and commited the greatest blasphemy to my bike I can imagine. I replaced the competition seat with a thick, cushy seat. It's surprisingly comfortable, but I did notice I am not as maneuverable in riding positions. Anyway, it was very comfortable for jen, so that was most important....

We started at Campbell Park, in Campbell, and biked along the path into Vasona Park, and then onto Los Gatos. Typically, that's where we break for lunch because the trail access to the reservoir is usually closed. But on this day, to my surprise, it was open. Most of the Los Gatos Creek trail is paved, but beyond this point it is mostly gravel, but still a very clean smooth trail.

We circled around and went into Downtown Los Gatos for a nice afternoon lunch at a breakfast omlette place. And what did I have? Blueberry pancakes and sausage. MMMMMMmmmm! This is what enjoying life should be all about.

In all we biked about twenty miles, so the sausages were well worth it. Not bad for an afternoon out.
