This weekend, I attended another wedding, this one for my friends George and Diana, who were childhood friends from Chinese school.
It was a military civil service, replete with a US Army honor guard. It was funny, as the bride and groom walked down the aisle, each guard dropped their swords, and commanded they kissed before they would raise their swords and allow them to pass. The last one gave the bride a whip of the sword, after the happy couple had passed under their swords. Military men may look serious, but at least they have a sense of humor.
