Stanford University by Night

A few of my colleagues are in town from Singapore, so we decided to go to Stanford University for a quick tour by night. We didn't get to see much, since it was so late, but it's still a very nice campus.

Hiatus

Wow, this page has been pretty sparse. I have to attribute this to not having many things going on, lately.

Unfortunately, in this space should have been pictures from camping in Big Sur, but an emergency came up, and I'm working this weekend, instead.....

Lovely.... =p

Things

Of all the things to collect in the world, I collect shot glasses from places I visit and travel to. Friends help me too, unknowingly, of course, but it all started a few years ago, when two different friends seperately went to New York, and each got me a shot glass. Since then I've traveled to many more places on my own, and picked up some of my own shot glasses and "wine cups", as they're refered to in some countries. A lot of times, they're last minute momentoes in the airport bought with what ever the last amount of currency I have.

Mountain Biking Fremont Older Open Space Preserve

So one of the first things I did when I got home after my road trip was go Mountain Biking at the Fremont Older Open Space Preserve above the hills in Saratoga. I got two of my friends together to go, and if you remember an old post of mine, I had just gotten some new tires for my bike. This was the park that I had in mind.

However, now that I have tried the tires out, it was not as much as I had anticipated. I bought the tires because I wanted faster rolling tires on road surfaces. It was on the loose hardpack that I could feel I was suffering a lot of traction loss. But man, it was FAST on the back roads. Sorry, no pictures, too busy holding on for dear life..... =P
