After I came back from Thailand, I went to Las Vegas for Christmas. That was interesting, but it confirms my suspicisions that only Chinese people go gambling on Christmas. Not only chinese people, but Cantonese Chinese! New years was a little more subdued this year, we went to Roy's in San Francisco for a little pre-fixed New Year's Eve dinnner, after which we and a few friends went bar hopping for New Year's Eve parties in the Marina District of San Francisco. We tried to get into the Matrix Lounge, but that was pretty much already at near capacity, that we ended up going down to Cosmo's on the other end of the street. One of the girls in our group got drench in champagne (waitress dropped someone's entire drink order on her, so she was pretty unhppyunhappy, before we decided to leave. Which led us to a friend of a friend's house party, back on down near the Embarcadero on around 1:30 in the morning. In all, I don't remember when I got up in the morning.
